I love an excuse to celebrate with family + friends, decorate and eat sweets. So, naturally Halloween is something I look forward to. I’ve always loved getting dressed up and going trick-or-treating and now I get to do it with my little which just makes it that much more fun. The only problem with Halloween is it comes and goes so quickly that sometimes decorating can seem like a waste of time/money. Here are a few quick + inexpensive ways to decorate using items that can transition into Thanksgiving or take little time/money to put together.
Add pumpkins to flower boxes
Cost: $6, with coupon (pumpkins). Bought at: Hobby Lobby
Add a modern skull to your front door
Cost:$20, on sale. Bought at: Michael’s
Fill an oversized mason jar with skulls
Cost: $4 (skulls, I had the other items). Bought at: Dollar Tree
Replace candles with pumpkins
Cost: $3, with coupon (pumpkins), $1 (black fabric). Bought at: Hobby Lobby, Dollar Tree
Add mummy throw pillows to your chairs or couch
Cost: $6 (pillows) Bought at: Target, these are by far my favorite Halloween purchase! I almost bought very similar mummy pillows last year from Pottery Barn (one of my favorite places) and they were FAR more then $3 each. Yay! Target does it again.
