Every recipe is specifically designed to boost the brain power of babies. Backed by a team of nutritionists and pediatricians, Smart Baby Cookbook by Lauren Cheney is much more than a baby food cookbook – the unique twist is that every recipe can be tweaked to create a healthy and wholesome meal for the whole family.
I really enjoyed this cookbook, it encourages healthy eating and provides easy ways to adjust baby food recipes into meals for adults and older children. I will be making many of these recipes soon but at the top of that list is the mango yogurt chicken and avocado pesto pasta recipes, yum!
Learning about the 20 “smart foods” and how they aid in baby’s development was really interesting. I would not have thought to feed a lot of these foods to a baby or toddler. Now, knowing the benefits, I will certainly be offering them to my son.
As a busy mom, having resources like, introduction timelines, how to deal with food refusal, allergy substitutions etc., presented in chart and infographic form is a huge time saver. Finally, the pictures in this book are stunning and will inspire you to cook. Isn’t that exactly what you want from a cookbook?
